I like my Pendlay training bar — their high-end bushing bar. Had it for about 7 years now and never had a problem doing heavy squat, bench and deads though 28mm isn't as stiff as a 28.6mm or 29mm bar. Knurling is tacky but not abrasive like the cheese grater-like Texas Power Bar.
